Biography
Myrto Akrivou
Myrto Akrivou was born in Athens, Greece. She studied the piano at the National Conservatory in Athens, graduated from the class of Elena Mouzala and received her Diploma with honors and second prize. She pursued her studies at the London College of Music at Thames Valley University and received a Performer’s Recital Diploma under Penny Sue Joyce.
She has also received a Diploma in classical singing from the class of Angelika Famelou. She has a degree in Harmony from the class of Mathew Legakis.
She has attended master classes in piano performance with A. Lefevre, R. Jansen and G. Ganev and many pedagogical seminars on piano teaching.
She has performed as a soloist and collaborated with the Chamber Opera of Athens, Trio Olympico, Trio da Camera and various other ensembles in concerts all over Greece and abroad.
She is a founding member and soprano of Eklipsis vocal ensemble-voice orchestra and pianist of NuovArte Chamber Orchestra. She performs in a duet with flutist Amalia Kountouri and singer Roxanne Papadimitriou.
She teaches piano and singing in conservatories in Athens and works as an accompanist for singers and performers of various instruments.
